At KDC, we encourage the continual growth and education of our therapists.  We sponsor several continuing education courses for not only our therapists, but for the community as well.
 

We have offered varied courses on topics including Neurodevelopmental Treatment, Feeding, and Orthotics.

Course Objectives:

* Learning a variety of manual techniques to treat muscle and joint restriction in pediatric patients

* Treating dysfunction in upper and lower extremities, spinal and rib cage musculature.

* Applying manual treatment to pediatric patients with sensory defensiveness.

* Integrating these skills into current pediatric treatment techniques and approaches including NDT, motor learning and sensory integration.

* Participants will focus on their own pediatric cases and learn how to apply this treatment approach to their current patients.

This course is a 3 hour HANDS-ON course that will teach participants the benefits of using music and MUSIC THERAPY to help achieve patient outcomes.  The techniques taught can be used in a variety of settings including preschool, school-aged, inpatient hospital settings and clinic based therapy.

This intermediate seminar is designed to hlep you learn practical techniques that can be used immediately in your practice.

Course format will include lecture, videotapes and handling laboratory sessions.
